Clicking on the logos at the bottom of the page will take you to some other activist media projects with similiar values and goals to AIR and these are a good place to start looking for free audio to listen to and rebroadcast. Many of the talks broadcast by the micro-stations are downloaded from public access audio archives like Radio4All, Archive.org and the Indymedia radio project. As well as hearing them on the airwaves you can also listen to these audio files on your own computer as web streams or by downloading them. Some organisations in Aotearoa like community access station Fresh FM who broadcast across Nelson and Marlborough make some of their shows available for download. The AIR archive Co-operation with Aotearoa.Indymedia.org has allowed volunteers to make use of free web hosting space on an Australian run server called Paranode. So far this space has been used to archive recordings from events like the Social Forum Aotearoa and the EcoShow 2005 and complete editions of 'Under the Radar' from Raglan Community Radio as well as separate interviews and news segments from the show. Music If you are interested in free music there are an increasing number of net labels releasing music under CreativeCommons licenses and making them available for free download. You can search for CC licensed music using the CC search engine. Advanced options include searching for material covered by specific license conditions. AudioBlogging Audioblogs, sometimes known as 'podcasts' are the audio equivalent of a blog. Instead of writing, someome records talks or interviews as audio files and adds them to a 'feed'. You can download individual files or set up an RSS reader to automatically download new files as they are added. Sites like PodcastAlley allow you to search for audioblogs that suit your interests.
